Astronomy Scripts
A selection of astronomy scripts I've written is now hosted on github. They are being somewhat regularly updated and supplemented. Each script is tailored to a specific problem, but the set covers a range of applications including observations, data reduction, and data analysis.
Projects
Various side projects I have been working on are listed below. They are all at varying stages of completion. Some may have source code and/or example outputs available.
- magellan: GPS/location analysis package. Set of python scripts to generate histograms based on location data, and to generate maps of locations visited in a specified time frame
- Briefing [planning/coding phase]: Media collector and parser. Organizes various information sources (Magellan output, weather forecasts/information, news headlines, etc) then renders a "briefing" as an mp3 file using text-to-speech synthesis. Each briefing is customizable depending on the day/time it is generated.
- Busybox [planning]: Small LED box to denote my availability for chatting (green: interruptable, yellow: interrupt if important, red: it needs to be very important to interrupt)
- Bicycle Telemetry [planning]: Bicycle telemetry logging system using the Arduino microcontroller.
